Product name: | Triclosan |
Appearance: | White powder |
CAS No.: | 3380-34-5 |
Purity: | 98% |
Triclosan can kill bacteria such as staphylococcus aureus and escherichia coli and fungi such as candida albicans. It can also inhibit viruses such as hepatitis b virus and protect beneficial bacteria.
The bactericidal mechanism of triclosan is that it first adsorbs on the bacterial cell wall, then penetrates the cell wall and reacts with lipids and proteins in the cytoplasm, resulting in denaturation of proteins and killing of bacteria.
