Captopril is used to control high blood pressure , relive symptoms of congestive heart failure , treat diabetic nephropathy and also can be used to improve survival & decrease the chances of developing symptoms of congestive heart failure.Can be used as anti- hypertension medicament.

 

 

1. Hypertension Treatment: Captopril is primarily used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure) by inhibiting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), thereby reducing vasoconstriction and fluid retention.

2. Heart Failure Management: It is prescribed for patients with heart failure to improve symptoms such as shortness of breath and fatigue by facilitating vasodilation, reducing cardiac workload, and enhancing cardiac output.
