Procaine is a local anesthetic. Clinical commonly used its hydrochloride, also known as "novocaine". White crystalline or crystalline powder, soluble in water.  Adding trace amount of into injection can prolong the action time. For infiltration anesthesia, lumbar anesthesia, "block therapy", etc. In addition to the central nervous system and cardiovascular system reactions caused by overdose, allergic reactions are occasionally seen, and skin allergy tests should be performed before medication.
