Topiroxostat (CAS No. 577778-58-6), also known as FYX-051, is a potent and orally active xanthine oxidoreductase (XOR) inhibitor with an IC50 value of 5.3 nM and a Ki value of 5.7 nM. It selectively inhibits XOR, thereby reducing uric acid production by blocking the conversion of hypoxanthine to xanthine and xanthine to uric acid.
