Bimatoprost is a prostaglandin analog used topically (as eye drops) to control the progression ofglaucoma and in the management of hypertension. Studies have shown bimatoprost to be more effective thanin reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) and at least as effective as the prostaglandin analogs latanoprost and travoprostin reducing IOP.
