Baricitinib, also known as Olumiant, is an orally administered, selective Janus kinase (JAK) 1 and JAK2 inhibitor. It acts by inhibiting the signal transduction and activator of transcription (STAT) pathway, which is involved in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses.

 

1. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA): Baricitinib is approved for the treatment of moderate to severe RA in adults, either as monotherapy or in combination with other disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs).
