Lapatinib is an oral small-molecule epidermal receptor (EGFR) and human epidermal receptor 2 (HER2) tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Its chemical name is N-[3-chloro-4-[(3-fluorophenyl)methoxy]phenyl]-6-[5-[(2-methylsulfonylethylamino)methyl]-2-furyl]quinazolin-4-amine, with a molecular formula of C29H26ClFN4O4S and a molecular weight of 581.06.
