Function and Application
(1) Poultry salinomycin is mainly used to prevent chicken coccidiosis. Its insect resistance spectrum is wide, and it has good effects on chicken tenderness, toxicity, pile type, giant, Brucella, and Eimeria pallidum. The prevention and control effects determined based on pathological changes, mortality rate, weight gain rate, and feed remuneration are roughly equivalent to those of monensin and Changshan ketone. In addition, it is also highly effective for the dispersal of quail and Eimeria pallidum (E.1 ettyae).
(2) Due to the significant inhibitory effect of salinomycin on gram-positive anaerobic bacteria, pigs have a certain growth promoting effect on animals. Experiments on pigs have shown that feeding 30-60mg/kg of medication to piglets under 4 months of age and 15-30mg/kg of medication to piglets aged 4-6 months of age significantly improves feed returns and promotes growth.
